At Beach Kids Therapy Center, our pediatric occupational therapists help children achieve age-appropriate functional skills to enhance independent engagement in everyday life activities. We specialize in treating infants to school-aged children with various neurological, genetic, and developmental disorders. We provide a play-based therapeutic approach that targets the following areas: sensory processing, behavior, attention, fine motor, gross motor, oral motor, visual-motor integration, self-care, feeding and social skills.
Betsy Aasland, MS, OTR/L

Betsy is a pediatric occupational therapist with over 20 years of experience working with children and their families. She started Beach Kids Therapy Center after recognizing the need for a family-centered pediatric therapy clinic in South Orange County. Her holistic approach to the health and well-being of children is at the heart of her work. Through Beach Kids, Betsy is committed to supporting and educating families in an environment that is safe, inviting and nurturing.
Jane Moore, OTR/L, SWC, CLC, CKTP

Jane brings over 25 years of occupational therapy experience to Beach Kids Therapy Center and serves as the Clinical Director where she oversees the staff, mentorship, and growth of the therapy team and clinic. In addition to serving in an executive leadership role, Jane also treats infants and children with feeding delays. She is a Certified Vital stim Therapy Provider and Certified Lactation Counselor with extensive experience in treating Dysphagia. Jane moved from Seoul, Korea, to NYC when she was just 7 years old and will always consider herself a true big-city girl. A few of Jane’s hobbies include cooking and entertaining. Dee Marszal, MS, OTR/L, SWC

As an occupational therapist, Dee values working together with families to ensure that the best care is being provided in the clinic and at home for every client. She adores working with children of all ages and helping them achieve their goals to reach their fullest potential. She holds a special place in her heart for adolescents and is establishing a social group for them to promote teamwork with peers, safety skills and building independence with daily living skills here at BKTC! Dee and her husband love to ride their road bikes and snowboard when they can find a sitter for their Chihuahua, Biggie. She is creative, organized and incredibly helpful around our clinics!
Amy Moss, MA, OTR/L

Amy Moss, MA, OTR/L, Director of Staff and Parent Education at Beach Kids Therapy Center, has 23 years of early intervention, outpatient clinic, and school-based expertise. Using a family-centered approach, Ms. Moss provides solution-based therapy addressing the development of children’s physical, cognitive, social/emotional, and sensory processing skills, which allows the child to succeed and function at their highest ability. Along with being an integral part of the Beach Kids Therapy Center interdisciplinary team, Ms. Moss is passionate about creating and designing medical devices that address pain management, energy conservation and enhance her client’s functional skills as well as, improve their quality of life. Patents include: the AWBAT biosynthetic glove for burn wound care management (2009) and the Move-D upper extremity tremor-reducing brace (2018-present). Ms. Moss received a Master’s in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California in 1998 and received her anxiety specialist certification in 2020.
Tanya Kinton, MS, OTR/L, SWC
San Clemente Clinic Manager

Tanya started out as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with 5 years of experience, and while continuing her work at Beach Kids Therapy Center, she simultaneously earned her Master's Degree in OT and became an OTR/L. Tanya's hunger for knowledge didn't stop there and she recently received her advanced license in Swallowing, Assessment, Evaluation and Intervention (SWC) from the CA Board of Occupational Therapy. Tanya is passionate about treating children with feeding delays and her pursuit of her SWC is a testament of her commitment to her field and her desire to positively impact the children she serves. “No matter what difficulties a child may have, they need to know just how special and important they are and that together we will find a way for them to do anything they dream of” is her motto! Her first language is Spanish, as she did not learn to speak English until she was 5 years old, she remains fluent in both.
Jean Lin, MS, OTR/L, SWC

Jean is ready to make you and your child feel welcome! Her silly demeanor with little ones helps them reach their goals all while having fun. She loves watching children and parents' reactions when a child is able to preform a task that they were not able to do before— success! Her past experiences as an ABA therapist gives her even more patience and perseverance when it comes to reaching the most difficult of goals. If Jean wasn’t an occupational therapist she would have been a veterinarian or zookeeper. As a mama to two French bulldogs she looks forward to retirement when she can buy land, build a farm and rescue dogs. We love her compassion!
Malia Ertel, MS, OTR/L, CSCS, PES

Malia is one of our dedicated occupational therapists here at Beach Kids. She enjoys working alongside families with kids of all ages in a play-based environment to improve independence and quality of life. In her free time, Malia enjoys traveling and anything outdoors, especially time at the beach and paddleboarding.
Sophia Lancaster, MA, OTR/L

Sophia is one of our newest occupational therapists and she is so excited to join our team and work with her clients. She received her bachelor's degree from Florida State University in Communications Sciences & Disorders and Psychology as well as a master's degree from USC in occupational therapy. Sophia is eager to help kids grow and accomplish their goals. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and walking her dog, Luna on the beach.
Kristine de Guzman, OTD, OTR/L

Christine is a recent graduate of the University of St. Augustine where she earned her doctorate in OT, specializing in Exploration of Aerial Arts as an Occupation. Her experience includes OT in the school setting, primarily in primary school through middle school-aged children. She also has experience in outpatient therapy, focusing on the upper extremities. She felt her calling to the occupational therapy field while working at a hospital during her undergraduate studies; she says she was drawn to the way in which OT treatment focuses on small, incremental goals to achieve long-term success. In her free time, Christine enjoys hiking, running, and aerial arts.
Chanel Ben-Hamo, MOT, OTR/L

Chanel is a Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) from the University of St. Augustine with a BA in Clinical Psychology from Cal State Long Beach. She has 1.5 years of experience working with both outpatient adults in the Neuro Population and pediatrics. Chanel says what she loves most about Beach Kids is being able to implement goals across disciplines to ensure the success of each child. In her free time, Chanel enjoys hiking, exploring all of the sushi restaurants in the OC, and traveling.
